Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a post secondary degree in an applicable discipline such as communications, language, professional writing, multi-media/Illustration design and Engineering
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 2 years’ experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The candidates should be able to take assigned timelines and hours seriously, completing work on schedule and within budgeted hours

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in the agricultural equipment/industrial equipment sector and developing software user guides and combination of education and experience in technical communications
  • The candidates should demonstrate an understanding of content development, including instructional, technical, written, visual and multimedia
  • The candidates should have exceptional English communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • The candidates should possess good knowledge of publication/information development, editorial processes and workflow
  • The candidates should show a commitment to the needs of the end user, prioritizing customer and partner satisfaction in achieving their goals and building their businesses
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment and make appropriate decisions, seeking guidance from more senior staff when
  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, with experience in building cooperative relationships with a network of subject matter experts and strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • The candidates should uphold high-quality standards and meticulous care
  • The candidates should have experience working in an XML authoring/publishing environment DITA XML, Arbortext and in a track record of delivering in a fast-paced environment where requirements and scope can change quickly
  • The candidates should possess strong abilities in developing content, including instructional, technical, written, visual and multimedia components

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide support for the development of technical information products such as product user manuals Installation, Assembly, Operation and Maintenance manuals
  • The candidates should be able to learn the fundamentals of the job and demonstrate this during the course of their daily activities
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the development of technical information products under the supervision of more senior staff, as assigned by their manager
  • The candidates should be able to support intermediate and senior technical writers in researching, planning, creation, and editing of new and existing content in conformance with AGI’s standards and terminology, working closely with subject matter experts in various departments to understand project requirements
  • The candidates should be able to produce high-quality, accurate and user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience and sets end-users up for success
  • The candidates should be able to assist in the evaluation of current content and recommend logical approaches for improvement
  • The candidates should be able to make revisions and conversions to existing manuals to standardize and consolidate information across product lines
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a highly professional attitude polite, courteous and assertive
  • The candidates should be able to provide reasonable advance notice of project timelines at risk
  • The candidates should be able to follow team policies and procedures
