GOTHAM STEAKHOUSE & BAR based in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Kitchen helper. GOTHAM STEAKHOUSE & BAR is iconic dining establishments synonymous with culinary excellence. Gotham serves only Prime Grade beef and the freshest fish and seafood. The menu is simple and classic steakhouse, with only the finest ingredients making the cut. Our hand–crafted cocktails and extensive wine list make decisions just a little harder, but satisfaction guaranteed. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Cuisine specialties: Canadian

  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required, showcasing dedication and flexibility to meet job demands, and be experienced in handling repetitive tasks, emphasizing precision and attention to detail in task execution
  • The candidates should be capable of working under pressure, demonstrating resilience and a calm demeanor in challenging situations, and possess a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in task execution and deliverables

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to remove kitchen garbage and trash, wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • The candidates should be able to train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food, supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and organize and manage buffets and banquets
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and clean the kitchen and work areas
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
