Salary: $29.92 to $32.14 hourly (to be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Location: Miramichi, NB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license, Own transportation
Work setting: Employer’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Child welfare check, Driver’s validity licence check, Adult Abuse Registry check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, dependable, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication and be able to work as a team player
  • The candidate should have values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
  • The candidates should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
  • The candidates should be able to monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
