Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  • The candidates should have the ability to work in all types of weather conditions,  availability to be on-call and the ability to read, write, and speak English and French

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least three years (driver’s abstract required)
  • The candidates should have experience in customer service and experience making deliveries or working as a drive

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop program-specific curriculum, prepare, and teach culinary classes in the Community Kitchen for children (10-12 years), youth, and adults
  • The candidates should be able to assist in researching and developing appropriate culinary programming for beginner and practicing cooks, ensuring activities are safe, creative, and inclusive
  • The candidates should be able to provide a positive learning and recreational experience for all participants
  • The candidates should be able to follow food, health, and workplace safety standards while adhering to all Health and Safety procedures
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that all program participants follow safe food handling practices and  maintain the kitchen facility and equipment in good working order
