Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have at least two years of experience as a supervisor or manager in a busy resort or hotel environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be patient, nurturing, and understanding of personnel, work weekends and holidays
- The candidates should be able to lift 30 pounds and stand on their feet for more than eight hours
- The candidates should be highly adaptable and flexible, strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and great attention to detail
- The candidates should have good public relations skills and the ability to think quickly on their feet
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a background in housekeeping and experience training a large number of people
- The candidates should be efficient in Microsoft Office, with experience working with a property management system
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct, perform all in-unit and facility common area cleaning, oversee the training, development, recognition, and discipline of staff, assist in the recruitment process
- The candidates should be able to schedule staff based on anticipated occupancy, group arrivals/departures, and special events while maintaining fiscal responsibility, purchase, re-order, and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory, conduct inspections of units, carts, and storerooms to ensure completion of work and consistency of standards
- The candidates should be able to provide courteous and sincere customer service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment, collaborate with the Front Desk, Rental Owner Services, Maintenance, Sales, and Reservations to ensure the best service possible
- The candidates should be able to create and maintain the housekeeping budget and business plan, review purchase orders, requisitions, and P&Ls monthly to verify charges and maintain budget controls for housekeeping expenses
- The candidates should be able to enforce employee appearance and conduct standards and uphold the Resort Core Values, ensure the maintenance and updating of training materials
- The candidates should be able to maintain working relationships with all clients and stakeholders and manage guest recovery scenarios, apply knowledge of OH&S and safety standards within the Housekeeping department perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Lodging
