Salary: $17.40 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to walk and perform tasks involving movement, work under pressure, and handle weight
• The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to have excellent oral communication, able to show flexibility, and a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to convey travellers’ luggage by hand or hand truck, assist passengers as required, and clean cabins and make beds
• The candidates should be able to perform minor repairs on installations and routine maintenance of audiovisual equipment, serve food and beverages, and set and clear tables in dining cars
• The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, assist clients/guests with special needs, and attend to baggage problems
• The candidates should be able to attend to group arrivals and departures, escort incoming guests to their rooms, and handle luggage for hotel guests
• The candidates should be able to maintain luggage storage area, provide information regarding features of rooms, service of hotel and points of interest, and receive and deliver items and messages for guests
• The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety/handling skills
