Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have secondary degree or an equivalent combination of education
Experience: Candidates should have at least five years’ experience working in an aviation or operational decision making role supplemented by a post and experience which includes knowledge of all aspects of airport operations

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to be proactive by identifying issues and putting measures in place to mitigate negative outcomes
  • The candidates should have sound judgment and decision-making skills to manage operational and emergency situations, with a proven ability to multi-task under pressure

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of acts, standards, and regulations governing airport operations, along with associated policies, programs, and procedures
  • The candidates should have Strong communication and writing skills
  • The candidates should have several years of proven leadership experience, preferably in an operational environment, leading and motivating a highly skilled team of professionals

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide strong leadership and guidance in a real-time environment, working with a team that oversees the safety, security, and efficiency of all airport facilities, and ensure a coordinated response to emergencies and terminal incidents
  • The candidates should be able to report to the Director, Service Delivery & Resilience and build a thriving and successful team through relationships with business partners, contractors, and government agencies
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the execution of airport programs and contractor activities, provide incident management, and apply incident command best practices
  • The candidates should be able to assess risk and threats according to defined protocols and procedures, monitor service levels across the airport, and initiate resource deployment
  • The candidates should be able to provide support and direction to a team of dedicated employees, including monitoring work efforts and performance, hiring, coaching, motivating, and supporting developmental activities, conducting formal evaluations, applying appropriate discipline, and representing management in grievance meetings
