Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have bachelors degree in Social Work or related discipline (i.e. Health Sciences)
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 3 years related experience required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be proficient in French, which is considered an asset
- The candidates should be knowledgeable and have practiced the psychosocial rehabilitation approach, possessing advanced clinical and assessment skills, which are assets
- The candidates should have experience in counseling, crisis prevention, and intervention
- The candidates should have experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, which is essential
- The successful candidate will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
- The candidates should possess a valid G Driver’s License, have access to a reliable vehicle, and have business use insurance coverage
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide a comprehensive and collaborative community-based case management response to individuals aged sixteen and over with serious mental illness and/or addictions within York Region
- The candidates should be able to utilize a Recovery Model framework to assist service users in identifying needs and goals that will enhance the quality of their lives
