Shifts: Day, 09:00 to 18:00
Transportation information: Own transportation and Public transportation is available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5  years or more
Area of specialization: Pre-school education
Experience with special needs children: Children with allergies 
Credentials: Child development worker (ECE level 2), Emergency child care first aid and CPR, and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be attentive to detail and capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be comfortable with activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be punctual in their work habits and demonstrate dependability in their responsibilities
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills and exhibit sound judgment in decision-making
  • The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and be team players
  • The candidates should uphold values and ethics in their work and demonstrate honesty in all interactions

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, promoting independence and self-care skills
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children effectively, and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to stimulate their creativity and learning
  • The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed, and have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to establish guidelines for behavior to create a safe and nurturing environment for children, and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members effectively
  • The candidates should attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children and contribute to collaborative problem-solving and planning efforts, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers to support the holistic development of children
  • The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that prioritizes the health, security, and overall well-being of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing setting for their growth and development
