Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have familiarity with ski lifts and mountain operations equipment, a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team and be comfortable working at heights and in all outdoor conditions

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be a Level 3 or 4 Electrical Apprentice, a valid B.C. Driver’s License and pass a satisfactory criminal record check

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and modifications on lift facilities, snowmaking equipment, buildings, and other mountain infrastructure
  • The candidates should be able to inspect, troubleshoot, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and assist in project installations and upgrades, working closely with senior electricians
  • The candidates should be able to help maintain records, complete inspection reports, and keep daily logs up to date and follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean work environment
  • The candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, from deep winter powder to sunny summer days and assist in material orders and ensure proper inventory of electrical components
  • The candidates should be able to perform daily maintenance and safety checks on tools and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to support other maintenance teams with electrical tasks and bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder, or otherwise fasten parts and components using hand and power tools
  • The candidates should be able to maintain and operate company vehicles safely and efficiently and perform other duties
