Salary: $23.00 to $27.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 45 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: North York, ON
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Mechanical engineering technology
Equipment and machinery experience: Alarms, central monitoring system, compressors, electric generators, electronic controls, HVAC, high-pressure boilers, switches, and valves
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Basic security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in confined spaces
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks in noisy environments within confined spaces
- The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of the job
- The candidates should be capable of lifting weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
- The candidates should be able to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams
- The candidates should be able to analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctions
- The candidates should be able to assist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
- The candidates should be able to maintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
- The candidates should be able to operate automated or computerized control systems
- The candidates should be able to perform routine equipment maintenance
- The candidates should be able to start up and shut down power plant equipment
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot, perform corrective action, or minor repairs
- The candidates should be able to write plant or building operation reports
