Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be 23 or older

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and interacting with team members
  • The candidates should have knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to transportation and delivery

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to protect company vehicles by conducting required daily and vehicle circle checks, maintaining fuel levels, and following maintenance and reporting procedures. They should operate company vehicles in various road conditions in a safe and responsible manner and ensure the vehicle is clean, tidy, and well cared for. Additionally, they should immediately report any deficiencies or damage
  • The candidates should be able to follow pre-determined scheduled delivery routes for store delivery, pick up sites, and varying routes for Customer home delivery as required by home delivery orders. They should operate the vehicle under control at all times in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to load product onto the vehicle while ensuring it is properly loaded in the assigned vehicle, received, and orders are filled and shipped to customers accurately, meeting all food quality standards and processed in a timely manner to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. They should deliver groceries to customers or business individual addresses depending on order requirements, which may include stairs, elevators, or other requirements to get to the customer-required location
  • The candidates should be able to keep teams informed of the progress and offer feedback throughout their route by reporting clear and accurate information, as required. They should be knowledgeable about our service and promote the business and products positively at all times
  • The candidates should be able to unload deliveries to the assigned store, validate the correct number of totes being delivered, hand over driver manifest and customer invoices to bronze store OSA, get POD from the store, collect returns, totes, and paperwork from previous day’s deliveries, and load them into the vehicle. They should return to the designated location back at the gold store
  • The candidates should be able to deliver customer orders to Customer’s residence or business and place the bagged groceries into the customer’s entrance. They should take appropriate steps to ensure personal safety when delivering groceries and navigating various hazards, including customer pets, wearing appropriate clothing for the weather, and donning any appropriate personal protection equipment such as a safety vest, and following all safety guidelines
  • The candidates should be able to review orders with customers, review substitutions chosen on behalf of the customer, and complete the return of any item not accepted on the hand-held device. They should support any issues to resolution and demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the organization through the use of effective teamwork. They should understand that our business is focused on satisfying and exceeding the needs of our customers but also balancing those expectations with the needs of the organization and personal safety
  • The candidates should be able to be flexible in completing/adjusting work assignments based on customer requests and meeting daily delivery schedules. They should attend and participate in meetings as required
