Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Sport Certification
Experience: Candidates should have experience in working with preschoolers

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • The candidates should be able to attend meetings and training

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold a current Standard First Aid/CPR C certification from an accredited organization, or have the ability to obtain it within 1 month of the date of hire
  • The candidates should have HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development certification or the ability to obtain it within 2 months of the date of hire
  • The candidates should possess exceptional customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to plan, organize, and deliver high-quality, safe, and stimulating preschool lessons for all levels of participants
  • The candidates should be able to provide a high level of front-line customer service, including greeting and engaging participants
  • The candidates should be able to maintain complete vigilance while on duty and be ready to respond to any emergency situation
  • The candidates should be able to communicate with parents and participants regarding other program opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to complete administrative duties in a timely manner, such as attendance, incident/accident reports, and opening and closing procedures
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and tidy program space, ensuring equipment is set up and stored appropriately
  • The candidates should be able to report all concerns, accidents, and incidents to their immediate supervisor for follow-up and take appropriate action
  • The candidates should be able to maintain an understanding of department programs and services
  • The candidates should be able to understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies and Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
