Salary: $33.50 hourly for 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Supervision: 5-10 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should be accustomed to tight deadlines
  • The candidates should possess attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to manage a large caseload

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and excel in excellent oral communication
  • The candidates should be organized and function effectively as team players

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services according to the needs of the establishment and assess the requirements of the establishment to determine procurement needs
  • The candidates should be able to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased, ensuring clarity and accuracy and invite tenders and consult with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and terms
  • The candidates should be able to hire, train, and supervise staff involved in procurement activities and review quotations from suppliers to evaluate cost-effectiveness and quality
  • The candidates should be able to determine contract terms and conditions in consultation with legal and other relevant departments
  • The candidates should be able to award contracts or recommend contract awards based on evaluation and organizational policies and establish delivery schedules in coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to monitor the progress of delivery schedules to ensure the timely receipt of goods or services
  • The candidates should be able to contact clients and suppliers to proactively resolve any problems or issues that may arise during the procurement process
