Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to support field operators in inspections and preventive maintenance routines and coordinate with Maintenance and Distribution teams for turnarounds and outages and advise and assist other departments to achieve production objectives and manage the supply chain for raw material additives and environmental abatement
- The candidates should be able to forecast energy and raw material consumption and ensure availability for production and define annual objectives, aligning with plant goals, and cascade them to employees and plan, coordinate, and execute refractory work, including kilns and major repairs and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans while supporting scheduling and maintenance
- The candidates should be able to update and create SOPs, implementing a system of continuous improvement and coordinate with the quarry to ensure raw material availability and prehomogenization pile schedules
- The candidates should be able to participate in the annual production budget preparation and manage inventory and ensure timely accounting for resources, control third-party service costs and enforce strict budgetary controls
- The candidates should be able to formulate and submit capital and cost-saving projects to improve efficiency and lead cross-functional teams comprising Production, Maintenance, and Process personnel to resolve problems and optimize equipment
- The candidates should be able to own RCA action plans and track continuous improvement initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for improvements and reliability gains, leverage field operators for inspections and ensure proper reporting
- The candidates should be able to adhere strictly to preventative maintenance routines and the 13-week planning process and attend and actively participate in weekly commitment meetings and focus on prevention, planning, and continuous improvement activities
- The candidates should be able to lead and perform Root Cause Analyses (RCA) regularly, presenting results and progress monthly to management and demonstrate accountability for KPIs, including Production, MTBF, and NAI, and drive daily, monthly performance meetings
- The candidates should be able to model proper working conditions and lead safety performance initiatives and promote safety by conducting tailgate and safety meetings with the team, develop and continuously improve safety procedures (SOPs) for the department
- The candidates should be able to address identified risks such as energy isolation and working at heights through risk assessments and active field management and ensure the implementation of safety training and awareness programs, monitoring safety audits at the team level
