Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Certificate of Qualification in 429A, 430A, 431A, 443A, 430M, or 630T
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong network of contacts with other professionals in the Skilled Trades industry, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to convey the conceptual and applied aspects of knowledge to a broad range of students
  • The candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching and learning and to working within a team environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have industry experience in CNC milling and turning, be available to teach daytime, evenings, and/or weekends
  • The candidates should have experience teaching on-campus, online, or in a hybrid format at the post-secondary level, or equivalent experience as a trainer in the industry
  • The candidates should have experience in curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent experience, formal studies in adult or higher education

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to deliver course curriculum in classroom and/or online formats, ensuring student awareness of course objectives, instructional approach, and evaluation techniques
  • The candidates should be able to tutor and provide academic counselling to students, evaluate student progress and achievement, and assume responsibility for the overall assessment of student work in assigned courses
  • The candidates should be able to define, evaluate, and validate learning outcomes and design appropriate strategies and tools for assessing student learning
  • The candidates should be able to teach CNC Machining effectively, incorporating practical and theoretical knowledge
  • The candidates should be able to develop individualized instruction and multimedia presentations and incorporate technology into the learning process where applicable
  • The candidates should be able to attend periodic faculty meetings and contribute to academic planning and discussion
  • The candidates should be able to perform other related duties as assigned by the institution
