Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a post-Secondary degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related technical discipline is an asset
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum 3-6 years of project management experience, or the equivalent in a related discipline
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in delivering projects through waterfall, agile, or hybrid methodology phases including initiating, planning, execution, monitoring, & controlling, and closing all technical, financial, and administrative functions of the project lifecycle
- The candidates should have work experience in Telecommunications and I.T., which are strong assets
- The candidates should preferably hold a PMP certification
- The candidates should have ITIL/ITSM certification, which is an asset
- The candidates should be Certified Scrum Masters (CSM), which is an asset
- The candidates should possess knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- The candidates should have intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite, Oracle, SharePoint, BI tools, and be highly proficient in MS Project & JIRA
- The candidates should have intermediate to advanced project financial forecasting and cost management skills
- The candidates should be strategic thinkers who can make decisions and plan, develop, and implement innovative solutions
- The candidates should possess strong negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management, communication, and Business writing skills
- The candidates should have the ability to effectively communicate project scope, cost, and schedule to senior and C-level leadership teams
- The candidates should be highly motivated individuals with strong leadership, organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to manage the successful execution of medium-large projects, medium to high complexity, and cross-functional projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on-time, within scope, and on budget (up to $5M), in a fluid fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to direct the planning, execution, and closure of technology projects dealing with the introduction of new services/products, lifecycle changes of existing services, new platforms, capacity augmentations, software & hardware upgrades, optimization, and redundancy enhancements
- The candidates should be able to identify and govern the overall scope, deliverables, and interdependencies of projects based on the project requirements to achieve project objectives and in-service targets
- The candidates should be able to expertly manage project cost estimating, budgeting, and control activities to meet budgetary objectives
- The candidates should be able to manage channel readiness to ensure a great customer experience and timely products and services launch
- The candidates should be able to build strong collaborative relationships with project sponsors, business, IT, and network stakeholders to successfully deliver project milestones
- The candidates should be able to create and maintain comprehensive documentation including Project Charter, Project Plan, Issue and Action Log, Risk Management Plan, and Status reports to the sponsor, project team, and senior management as required
- The candidates should be able to proactively manage vendors to deliver based on contracted goods and/or services to meet project requirements and timelines
- The candidates should be able to develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress of all tasks, spend, dependencies, and deliverables in compliance with Rogers Technology/Engineering specifications and Statements of Work
- The candidates should be able to set and manage project expectations while maintaining accountabilities with Demand Management, Development, Quality Assurance teams, and others to ensure deliverables are met
- The candidates should be able to schedule regular Project status review meetings and Steering committee meetings with the sponsor, management, and required project stakeholders
- The candidates should be able to manage and oversee Release activities to successfully deploy application changes into production with quality
- The candidates should be able to work creatively, collaboratively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and delivery excellence
