Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science and Industrial Hygiene
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of six years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have at least four years of combined experience in environmental permitting and compliance management in Canada
  • The candidates should be able to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
  • The candidates should be able to obtain Reliability Status screening from a duly authorized department or agency of the Government of Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage the environmental compliance program for operating sites and oversee the handover of construction projects to operations
  • The candidates should be able to support operations personnel in completing regulatory obligations and addressing permit requirements
  • The candidates should be able to interact with facility personnel, company management, legal counsel, the environmental sustainability team, and other internal stakeholders to communicate environmental requirements and address compliance issues
  • The candidates should be able to define and implement necessary training for facility operations personnel to manage environmental issues effectively
  • The candidates should be able to support site incident investigations and interact with regulatory agency personnel on major environmental issues
  • The candidates should be able to monitor legislative changes in the Americas, analyze potential impacts on operations, and provide updates to site personnel
