Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a University or College education in business, economics, marketing, statistics, or mathematics, which is preferred
Experience: Candidates should have experience in data analysis and a track record of delivering strategic business recommendations
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess relevant business experience in conducting business analysis and reporting, which is essential
- The candidates should have strong analytical skills and the ability to derive conclusions and actionable insights from vacation package sales data
- The candidates should be highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products
- The candidates should ideally have experience and/or exposure to Tableau, PowerBi, or other advanced analytics tools
- The candidates should be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to manage vacation package pricing to maximize revenue for WestJet and WestJet Vacations by analyzing performance, identifying opportunities, managing margins, loading pricing rules, and gathering market intelligence
- The candidates should be able to provide recommendations for optimal access to air inventory and pricing to maximize vacation package revenue on each flight
- The candidates should be able to blend strategic analysis, business intuition, creative thinking, and project leadership to work in cross-functional workgroups
- The candidates should be able to develop and effectively communicate market/pricing strategies to the leadership team and teammates
- The candidates should be able to optimize competitive positioning to maximize vacation package sales
- The candidates should be able to provide analysis and reporting to various organizational departments
- The candidates should be able to monitor KPI performance, proactively adjusting and communicating strategies needed to meet goals
- The candidates should be able to identify the need for and coordinate promotional offers to support vacation package sales
- The candidates should be able to recommend improvements to processes and reports
