Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Palliative Care, Pediatrics, And Surgery
Credentials: Intravenous (IV) Therapy Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, Eligible For Licensure As A Registered Nurse By The Province/Territory Of Work, And Licensure As A Registered Nurse By Provincial Or Territorial Authorities
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Record Check, And Immunization Records

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail, bend, crouch, and kneel, and work in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be able to handle a large workload, demonstrate manual dexterity, and perform physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods, stand for extended periods, and meet tight deadlines
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be accurate, focused on clients, and efficient in interpersonal skills
• The candidates should be excellent in oral communication, excellent in written communication, and flexible
• The candidates should be able to take initiative, able to exercise good judgement, and organized
• The candidates should be reliable and a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions and collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
• The candidates should be able to conduct disease screening, deliver health education programs and deliver immunization programs
• The candidates should be able to dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment and provide nursing care
• The candidates should be able to provide supportive counselling and life skills programming and supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
