As a regional health authority, the organization oversees a network of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health centers. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Health Care Aide Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Adult Abuse Registry check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities under pressure, and capable of handling repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
  • The candidates should be physically fit and able to meet the demands of a physically demanding job, possess manual dexterity, demonstrating proficiency in tasks that require precise hand movements, and exhibit sound discrimination skills, being able to distinguish between different sounds
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in their work, have the ability to distinguish between colors as required by the job, and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking as needed for job responsibilities

  • The candidates should prioritize client satisfaction, demonstrating a strong focus on meeting client needs, and exhibit dependability by consistently fulfilling their responsibilities and commitments

  • The candidates should show flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and requirements, take initiative in identifying and addressing challenges proactively, exercise good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving, and be organized, effectively managing tasks, resources, and deadlines
  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability by consistently delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines, and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supply and empty bedpans, serve meal trays and feed patients, and deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
  • The candidates should be able to make beds and maintain patients’ rooms, maintain inventory of supplies, and bathe, dress, and groom patients
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the set-up and maintenance of traction equipment, cleaning or sterilizing equipment, maintaining and repairing equipment, and assembling, setting-up, and operating job-related equipment, transport patients between care facilities, transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, answer call signals, collect specimens, and accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
