Work setting: Restaurant and urban area
Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Computer and technology knowledge: Aloha Point of Sale (POS), electronic cash register, and point of sale system
Own tools/equipment: Uniform 
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in cold/refrigerated environments and able to work in hot environments
• The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as required, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks, able to stand for extended periods during work, and capable of working under pressure
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate client focus, exhibit flexibility in adapting to various tasks and situations, and demonstrate reliability in their work performance
• The candidates should be team players, capable of working collaboratively with others

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables, and present bills to customers and accept payment in various forms
• The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials, advise on menu selections, and balance cash and record sales
• The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, describe and advise on wine selection, and greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• The candidates should be able to order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, perform sensory evaluation of wines, and serve food and beverages
• The candidates should be able to take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, and provide customer service
