Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of industry-related experience and a deep understanding of your local market

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be willing to work variable hours, including weekends and evenings, and should be available to meet clients at times that are convenient for them

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be entrepreneurial, driven, and enjoy the dynamic nature of each day
  • The candidates should enjoy business development activities, such as conducting mortgage seminars or building marketing programs, and should be enthusiastic about engaging with the community
  • The candidates should have strong sales management experience and the ability to effectively market themselves, the mortgage business, and Scotiabank
  • The candidates should be relationship builders, focused on providing a great client experience and growing relationships with existing Bank customers
  • The candidates should maintain current knowledge of mortgage lending policies and procedures, as well as understand the real estate market, property values, sales trends, and competitor programs to respond appropriately to business requirements
  • The candidates should possess and maintain a driver’s license and have access to personal transportation

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to maximize the development of residential mortgage business from third-party referral sources such as real estate agents, lawyers, financial planners, and centers of influence with the goal of bringing new customers to the Ban
