MAR.MED INC based in Saint-Laurent, QC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Shipper-receiver. MAR.MED INC offers a range of services including onboard medical training, telemedicine consultations, and medical supply provisions for ships. We ensure that vessels are equipped with the necessary medical expertise and supplies to handle health emergencies at sea. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Pallet lifters
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
Credentials: Forklift Operator Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
  • The candidates should be able to handle large workload

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, dependable, organized, and flexible
  • The candidates should be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to determine method of shipment, schedule distribution of goods
  • The candidates should be able to schedule transportation conveyances, prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
  • The candidates should be able to assemble containers and crates, inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
  • The candidates should be able to maintain internal record-keeping system, record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • The candidates should be able to route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped
  • The candidates should be able to unpack goods received, oversee loading and unloading of goods
  • The candidates should be able to affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments
