Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have 3+ years of supply chain operations experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment that requires frequent walking around the building and should be able to work in an environment with varying temperatures, as many buildings have dock doors that open throughout shifts

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have 1+ years of experience in Excel or Tableau, including data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables
  • The candidates should have 1+ years of experience in employee and performance management
  • The candidates should have 3+ years of supply chain experience
  • The candidates should have 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • The candidates should have experience with supplier or vendor relationship management and experience in procurement
  • The candidates should have experience in Coupa or other financial management/procurement software

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide procurement operations support for the fulfillment center, including managing supplier relationships for goods and services, non-inventory labor, flow, and space models, cycle counts, inventory management, and procurement transaction and expediting support
  • The candidates should be able to lead and develop a team of non-inventory associates to ensure the building has adequate resources and is set up for success and able to develop a deep knowledge of non-inventory items and align with similar buildings to drive best practices
  • The candidates should be able to manage and drive safety compliance for non-inventory teams during day-to-day activities and partner with regional/local safety teams for safety issues and escalations at the site level and able to manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure, control, and benchmark procurement processes, including creating recurring metrics reports to drive improvements for the Operations network
  • The candidates should be able to develop relationships across the building and network to ensure best practices are shared and implemented and able to align with internal customers, Finance, and Procurement Operations to understand budgetary targets by building and develop methods of measuring and defining savings, value, and other category metrics
  • The candidates should be able to assist Finance and internal customers in determining budgets and maintenance for blanket PO management and able to measure actual vs planned savings and own action plans to meet goals and develop solutions as savings trends are identified
  • The candidates should be able to build the category metrics model to track and monitor performance in relation to the category strategy, such as supplier scorecard and other site audits on 3P services, using input from the category team
  • The candidates should be able to work in partnership both internally and with suppliers to develop innovative solutions to provide Procurement support to the Operations network and able to develop and implement ways to measure suppliers to drive continuous performance improvement on behalf of Amazon
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate the demand identification, procurement, and inventory management of all non-merchandise items required for building operation, including corrugate, packing materials, labor, and janitorial services
  • The candidates should be able to partner with Accounts Payable (AP), Suppliers, and various internal teams to ensure timely resolution of vendor payment issues
  • The candidates should be able to support the centralized Procurement team (iSChOC), and Global Procurement Organization (GPO) Pillars, including ProcOps, Category, Supplier Diversity, Supplier Management, Procurement Excellence, Reusables, Technology, and PMO
