Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment that requires frequent walking and varying temperatures, as many buildings have dock doors that open throughout shifts

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have 1+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables) experience
  • The candidates should have 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • The candidates should have 3+ years of supply chain experience and should have 3+ years of supply chain operations experience
  • The candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree, or have 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • The candidates should have experience with supplier or vendor relationship management and procurement
  • The candidates should have experience in Coupa or other financial management/procurement software, with procurement experience preferred
  • The candidates should have experience with cost accounting and should possess Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge
  • The candidates must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric and should have the ability to work with ambiguity
  • The candidates should be able to provide a positive customer experience internally and externally

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to serve as the bridge between centralized Procurement and building leadership, facilitating communication and alignment between the two and able to take ownership of the site’s indirect procurement operation responsibilities, including vendor management, purchase order management, and inventory management
  • The candidates should be able to lead supplier management KPI and metrics reporting, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and deviation and able to provide procurement leadership and collaborate with building leadership to drive efficiencies and improvements at the site(s)
  • The candidates should be able to provide procurement operations support for the fulfillment center, including managing supplier relationships, labor, flow, space models, cycle counts, inventory management, and procurement transactions and able to lead and develop a team of non-inventory associates, ensuring that the building has adequate resources and is set up for success
  • The candidates should be able to manage safety compliance for non-inventory teams and partner with regional/local safety teams for safety issues and escalations at the site level and able to measure, control, and benchmark procurement processes using KPIs, and develop recurring metrics reports to drive improvements for the Operations network
  • The candidates should be able to develop relationships across the building and network to ensure best practices are shared and implemented and able to align with internal customers, Finance, and Procurement Operations to understand budgetary targets and develop methods for measuring savings and value
  • The candidates should be able to assist Finance and internal customers in determining budgets and maintenance for blanket PO management and able to develop and implement ways to measure suppliers and drive continuous performance improvement on behalf of Amazon
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate the procurement and inventory management of all non-merchandise items required for building operation, including corrugate, packing materials, labor, and janitorial services
  • The candidates should be able to partner with Accounts Payable, Suppliers, and various internal teams to ensure timely resolution of vendor payment issues
  • The candidates should be able to support the centralized Procurement team and Global Procurement Organization Pillars, including ProcOps, Category, Supplier Diversity, Supplier Management, Procurement Excellence, Reusables, Technology, and PMO
