Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Experience: Candidates should have 3-5 years of professional experience managing social media accounts, campaigns and communities

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to help lead, develop, and execute Strategic Communications’ social media content and campaigns to engage with the City’s audiences and act as a key player in coordinating, creating, and reporting on social media content as part of the Media and Engagement team
- The candidates should be able to act as the lead liaison for the City’s social media management platform, working with the vendor and providing technological updates to the team and monitor City of Brampton social media channels daily, create ad-hoc posts and campaigns, and manage editorial calendars
- The candidates should be able to book, monitor, and report on social media advertisement campaigns and respond to social media inquiries, provide coordination and guidance for social media requests, and attend City of Brampton events as required
- The candidates should be able to lead and implement social media strategy, develop protocols, guidelines, playbook, and staff training, and maintain knowledge of new technology and trends
- The candidates should be able to identify risks and opportunities, collaborate with the team to manage and respond to situations, and build relationships with cross-functional departments
- The candidates should be able to act as a key liaison and lead with the City’s Internal Social Media Working Group, preparing formal responses and supporting special projects and training as required and work well within diverse groups, demonstrate corporate values, and participate as a member of a cross-functional team
