Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have University degree or College diploma in Business, Finance/Accounting, or business related discipline
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 2 years’ experience in a medium/large company at a Financial Analyst/Accountant level

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to provide accounting guidance and determine the appropriate treatment of financial transactions
  • The candidates should possess solid financial and technical skills coupled with strong analytical ability and familiarity working with internal and external audit processes
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills able to see the “big picture” in a complex business environment
  • The candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • The candidates should have advanced PC skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • The candidates should have a working knowledge of the PeopleSoft accounting system

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to review and match fuel invoices for accuracy and completeness to ensure financial compliance with internal standards
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and be accountable for processing, tracking, and identifying government and business-related fuel programs and funding
  • The candidates should be able to identify fuel inventory, pricing, and invoicing issues and work with suppliers and the business to resolve them
  • The candidates should be able to prepare journal entries as part of the monthly financial reporting and invoice review process
  • The candidates should be able to engage with business partners and suppliers to maintain a positive and proactive working relationship
  • The candidates should be able to assist with resolving variances and reducing monthly accruals
  • The candidates should be able to analyse and implement the impact of business contracts and/or regulatory and accounting changes to processes and controls
