Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to identify key stakeholders from communities and businesses interested in doing business with Hydro One Chiefs, Economic Development Officers and research community interests, existing businesses, and businesses in development within communities
- The candidate should be able to support Management in developing and executing Supply Chain Sustainability initiatives reporting or tracking environmental KPIs, designing supplier surveys and maintaining Supply Chain Code of Conduct and compile and maintain an Indigenous business database
- The candidate should be able to respond to written inquiries and document consultation processes in reports for regulatory proceedings and management briefings and to attend team meetings for projects and Indigenous community issues
- The candidate should be able to represent Supply Chain viewpoints in discussions of local project requirements and strategies to address issues and a range of written documents and communication pieces to inform or educate stakeholders about Supply Chain activities or projects
- The candidate should be able to assist Management in implementing sustainability programs, including Indigenous Procurement and Supplier Diversity and prepare supporting documents and materials for discussions and meetings with key audiences
- The candidate should be able to provide a communications link between key community and supplier stakeholders and Hydro One’s Supply Chain and other Line of Business staff and to respond to telephone or email inquiries from businesses or communities regarding ESG activities or issues
- The candidate should be able to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the Sustainability and Indigenous Relations industry and provide monthly quantitative reporting for sustainability KPIs, including variance explanations and forecasts
- The candidate should be able to represent Supply Chain in Working Groups such as the Climate Adaptation Working Group and coordinate and facilitate the Indigenous Procurement Working Group and Hydro One externally at conferences, events, and committees
- The candidate should be able to contribute to corporate ESG initiatives such as Sustainable Financing Framework, Annual Sustainability Report, and executive level Sustainability Committee
