Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure, handle physically demanding tasks, and maintain attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be dependable, have excellent oral communication, and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive sightseeing or tour vehicles, confirm transportation and accommodation reservations, and collect administration or entrance fees
- The candidates should be able to coordinate recreation activities, describe points of interest, answer questions, supply information, and resolve itinerary and other problems
- The candidates should be able to ensure and monitor luggage transfers, assist clients with check-in procedures for accommodation and/or transportation, and utilize microphones or other communication devices to provide directions and pertinent information to visitors
- The candidates should be able to coordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups, provide information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion, and other details, and assist clients or guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions, and historical, heritage, and other sites, answer inquiries, provide information, and transport or escort individuals or groups on tours of cities, waterways, and industrial and other establishments
