Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

  • The candidates should be able to develop original and compelling story ideas to bring to the Italian community all over Canada, showcasing creativity and cultural sensitivity
  • The candidates should be able to identify topics, events, and trends relevant to the Italian community and craft engaging narratives that resonate with diverse audiences
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with stakeholders, including community leaders, organizations, and media outlets, to ensure the stories accurately reflect the interests and experiences of the Italian community
  • The candidates should be able to use various mediums such as articles, videos, podcasts, and social media to share these stories and engage with the Italian community across Canada effectively
  • The candidates should be able to pitch fresh and original stories, demonstrating creativity and innovation
  • The candidates should be able to edit, report, and voice stories for both our newscast and digital media platforms, ensuring accuracy and professionalism
  • The candidates should be able to organize material and write engaging, relevant, and concise news stories under tight deadlines according to prescribed editorial style and format standards
  • The candidates should be able to interview politicians, experts, and people within the Italian Canadian community all over the country, displaying strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should be able to translate and repackage stories from various news sources, adapting them for our audience
  • The candidates should be able to generate compelling story ideas and knowledgeable contacts and respond to breaking news situations quickly and accurately
  • The candidates should be able to generate compelling multimedia content, utilizing various mediums to enhance storytelling
  • The candidates should be fluent in social media trends, using personal accounts and knowledge to generate stories and ideas that resonate with our audience
  • The candidates should be able to host the newscast, becoming one of the faces of our news and helping us create a strong and enduring relationship with our viewers
