Shift: Weekend, Holiday Hours and Alarm attending (Rotational Basis)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in hog production
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously
- The candidates should have the ability to lift 25kg
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate willingness and ability to learn, along with possessing strong team and interpersonal skills
- The candidates should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- The candidates should exhibit a positive work ethic and attitude, with attention to detail
- The candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills
- The candidates should have a valid driver’s license and the ability to get to and from work located in a rural area
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with all areas of production including the feeding and general care of pigs, maintaining herd health and environment for pigs
- The candidates should be able to perform pressure washing and preparing rooms, as well as, general maintenance, cleaning, and clerical duties
- The candidates should be able to maintain door charts, inventory trackers, and order feed and medication as needed
- The candidates should be able to work as part of a team towards specific production goals
- The candidates should be able to adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
- The candidates should be able to follow MLAF SOPs regarding the humane treatment of animals under our care
