Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 4 to 6 years of lab experience in oils and fats, food processing, grain milling and pharmaceutical manufacturing
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently, sometimes without supervision
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret various directives provided in written or oral formats, such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, drawings, and production schedules
- The candidates should have the ability to complete routine reports and correspondence and contribute to Root Cause Failure analysis reviews
- The candidates should be able to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have GED an Associate degree in a science or technical field
- The candidates should be considered with an equivalent combination of education and experience and a self-starter with good interpersonal skills
- The candidates should be efficient in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
- The candidates should have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
- The candidates should be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and experience with an ERP system, such as SAP
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, to verify that test results conform to product and customer specifications
- The candidates should be able to ensure timely delivery of test results, issue certificates of analysis, file testing information, and maintain analysis databases
- The candidates should be able to prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas, update and maintain critical logs, and generate related graphs, charts, and tables
- The candidates should be able to follow lab safety regulations at all times, including eye protection, hand protection, and proper use of fume hoods or other breathing protection
- The candidates should be able to set up, adjust, and operate lab equipment, including gas and liquid chromatographs, balances, colorimeters, refractometers, and other related equipment
- The candidates should be able to calibrate all instruments used in the Quality Control lab stations and the QA laboratory on a scheduled frequency
- The candidates should be able to assist with general upkeep of the lab, including preventive maintenance and cleaning of lab instruments, glass bottles, vials and tubes, as well as counters, cabinets, and fixtures
- The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of lab chemicals to ensure secure storing, adequate supply, safe and correct disposal of waste chemicals, and to prevent storage of expired stock
- The candidates should be able to maintain and audit records of products and procedures essential for quality assurance, traceability, product recall, sanitation, HACCP, and hazardous waste management
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot issues with lab instrumentation, maintenance, and problems that arise with product quality and perform other duties
