Position: Production labourer – food processing

Salary: $15.50 hourly for 40 to 55 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: 2001 32nd Ave. Lachine, QC H8T 3J1
Work Setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Work site environment: Candidates should work in cold/refrigerated area
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language.
Education: There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and do repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to work with manual dexterity and stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be able to maintain tight deadlines and need to work if overtime required
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable and a good team player.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- The candidate should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
