Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of certified Automotive Services Technician 310S or 310T
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a fast-paced work environment
- The candidates should be prepared to work mainly indoors, in a warehouse or shop, with occasional outdoor work
- The candidates should be able to handle exposure to hot and cold temperatures when working outdoors and and willing to work evening and night shifts
- The candidates should wear a UPS Auto Mechanic uniform and adhere to the company’s Appearance Guidelines
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a clean driver’s abstract or record, obtained no more than a month before the interview date, showing and No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) and No accidents and a maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
- The candidates should have strong organizational skills, strong troubleshooting skills and pass a pre-employment road test and and essential trade tools and equipment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate strong quality of workmanship with a focus on detail and a commitment to excellence
- The candidates should be able to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities, assisting in multiple tasks
- The candidates should be able to apply strong technical hands-on experience, including some experience in electrical diagnostics
- The candidates should be able to repair, inspect, and maintain UPS Fleet propane and gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner
- The candidates should be able to operate and test company vehicles within the UPS facilities and on public roads, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations
