Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of hold a university degree
Experience: Candidates should have two years of supervisory experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be responsible for the success of vital fundraising initiatives and may be required to work some weekends and evenings
- The candidates should be capable of overseeing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and tasks with minimal supervision, as the duties of the position are diverse and varied
- The candidates should show well-developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to function effectively in a multi-team setting, prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess significant supervisory skills, including attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and strong organizational project management abilities, along with substantial experience using databases and networked systems
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent face-to-face and written communication skills and handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and discretion
- The candidates should possess advanced general computer knowledge of Windows and network-based environments, Microsoft Office, and Banner Advancement
- The candidates should demonstrate effective, creative, and flexible research skills using online, print, and database resources
- The candidates should possess knowledge of general office practices and three years of experience in a fundraising environment, preferably within a post-secondary institution and with some experience in a call-centre program
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate Carleton’s annual fundraising initiatives targeting alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and students
- The candidates should be able to report directly to the Director of Advancement Services on the progress and outcomes of fundraising activities
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies
- The candidates should be able to analyze fundraising data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- The candidates should be able to manage communications and outreach efforts to engage and inform potential donors
- The candidates should be able to assist in organizing events and campaigns that promote fundraising goals
