Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of completed Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have completed an accredited Unit Clerk Course or an equivalent training program

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients, and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information
  • The candidates should be able to perform a variety of administrative tasks, including reception duties, greeting and directing visitors, patients, and health professionals
  • The candidates should be able to maintain patient records and charts in accordance with healthcare standards and policies
  • The candidates should be able to transcribe and process physician orders accurately and efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to schedule patient tests and treatments, coordinating with healthcare professionals and departments
  • The candidates should be able to perform a range of administrative activities to support the unit’s operations
