Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a university degree
Experience: Candidates should have 2-3 years of directly related experience in people leadership or management
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have an agile, creative mind to develop and evaluate programs and generate ideas daily
- The candidates should possess intelligence and the ability to think both laterally and linearly to manage a wide range of circumstances
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have leadership skills to inspire and direct creative and programming staff, experience in developing people and providing feedback that builds understanding and skills
- The candidates should have a strong understanding of the Cree and Quebec communities, possess knowledge of Canada’s North, believe in the value of public service broadcasting
- The candidates should have knowledge of journalism and program production, be knowledgeable in effective management and change-management techniques
- The candidates should have knowledge of CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices, excellent communication, listening, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, along with cultural sensitivity and awareness
- The candidates should have fluent Cree language skills, as all programming is in Cree, fluency in English and knowledge of French
