Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completed Senior 4 (Grade 12) education
Experience: Candidates should have at least one year of work experience conducting field studies and collecting and processing data
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools and work independently under minimal supervision, the ability to navigate streets, areas, and neighborhoods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have , G.E.D., or an equivalent combination of education and experience supplemented by post-secondary/community college courses related to the position
- The candidates should have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The candidates should have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels, external contacts, and the public
- The candidates should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective organizational and prioritization skills
- The candidates should have strong verbal communication skills, effective written communication skills, including preparing data records
- The candidates should have knowledge of occupational hazards and workplace safety and health regulations
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct traffic studies and collect traffic data, review traffic study video footage
- The candidates should be able to inspect and maintain traffic data collection equipment and vehicles, process traffic study data
- The candidates should be able to train colleagues and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Legislation, Human Rights Legislation, safety regulations, and safe work practices and procedures
