Salary: $15.30 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 10 to 40 hours per week

Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Finance and insurance, Business services

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Financial statements, Invoices, Charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams, Business process management, and Accounting
Computer and technology knowledge: Sage Accounting Software, MS Excel, MS Word, and Quick Books
Technical terminology: Financial
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment, and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should have attention to detail, be prepared for repetitive tasks, and able to handle a large workload
  • The candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to multitask, exhibit accountability, and demonstrate adaptability
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate client focus, and be reliable
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment, be organized team players, and have good time management skills

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences accurately, answer telephone calls and relay messages promptly and professionally, and answer electronic inquiries promptly and efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to compile data, statistics, and other information accurately, advise senior management based on their expertise and knowledge, and set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems effectively
  • The candidates should be able to conduct research on various topics as required, perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, and provide excellent customer service to clients or stakeholders, including performing basic bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
