Salary: $17.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Millet, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, and public transportation is not available
Work setting: Staff accommodation available and staff accommodation provided
Type of crops: Garlic and onions
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing tasks and responsibilities effectively without constant supervision, and be prepared for repetitive tasks, maintaining consistency and accuracy throughout
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads safely and efficiently as required by the job, working under tight deadlines, managing time and priorities effectively, and being physically fit to handle demanding tasks associated with the role
- The candidates should possess hand-eye coordination to perform tasks accurately and efficiently, have the ability to distinguish between colors as necessary for job requirements, and demonstrate attention to detail to ensure quality and precision in their work
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods during the workday, be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed for job duties, and willing and able to accommodate overtime if required
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday, as well as capable of lifting and handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) safely and effectively

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crop, harvest seedlings, plant, cultivate, irrigate crops, and perform seed cutting
- The candidates should be able to clean the work area, harvest crops, load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, as well as examine produce for quality and prepare for the market
