Job Description:

Position: Administrative assistant
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $28.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Surrey, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to manage a large workload effectively

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences, determine and establish office procedures and routines, and schedule and confirm appointments
  • The candidates should be able to answer the telephone, relay telephone calls and messages, answer electronic inquiries, compile data, statistics, and other information, and respond to employee questions and complaints
  • The candidates should be able to order office supplies, maintain inventory, plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations, greet people, direct them to contacts or service areas, open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material, and coordinate the flow of information
  • The candidates should be able to set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
