Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and requisite industry
Experience: Candidates should have three to five years of operational management experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be prepared for constant standing, bending, and reaching in the Area Leader position
  • The candidates should expect to frequently lift weights ranging from one to five pounds
  • The candidates should be able to occasionally lift weights of up to 40-50 pounds in the Area Leader position
  • The candidates should be willing to travel overnight and daily

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have management experience and strong analytical, diagnostic, and root cause identification skills
  • The candidates should possess two plus years of successful multi-unit management experience in a retail and QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) environment
  • The candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to work with and influence direct reports, franchisees, peers, and senior management
  • The candidates should demonstrate proven prioritization, presentation, budgeting, time management, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills
  • The candidates should provide critical perspective and observation of store and merchandise placement
  • The candidates should exhibit strong attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The candidates should be proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • The candidates should have demonstrated collaborative skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to oversee a group of 7-Eleven stores (corporate and franchise) within a designated geographic area to ensure the highest levels of guest service
  • The candidates should be able to lead, consult with, and influence store operators and franchisees to develop, update, and execute operational plans and strategies, including merchandising, fresh food concepts, fuel sales, guest experience, and store operational infrastructure
  • The candidates should be able to monitor and ensure accountability for all aspects of store operations, providing advice, coaching, and assistance to store management. This may include direct supervision of Corporate Store Leaders (Managers) and teams
  • The candidates should be able to recruit, hire, develop, and retain top talent within the market to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all corporate stores
  • The candidates should be able to recognize and address performance issues in a timely manner
  • The candidates should be able to ensure key processes and plans are implemented through regular store visits, evaluations, and data analysis
