Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should be currently completing or in possession of a University degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have experience with translating technical reports into comprehensive presentations
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to travel off-site for a team meeting or gathering such as lunch
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have demonstrated experience translating data and information into visual contents such as video, photos, charts, infographics, and other graphic designs as required
- The candidates should possess demonstrated experience with website design and website content management
- The candidates should have experience and familiarity with creating in multiple platforms (social media, website, Canva) for a variety of audiences
- The candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong editing and proofreading abilities
- The candidates should be proficient with graphic and video design and editing software such as Canva and/or Adobe Suite
- The candidates should demonstrate solid time management and strong organizational skills
- The candidates should be a Motivated university students with a strong desire and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide administrative and coordination support to all aspects of internal audit communications, ensuring that all communication messages and content are developed in a timely, relevant, and accurate manner
- The candidates should be able to prepare, edit, and proofread various communication/project documents such as presentations, web content, communications, and other related internal audit material and ensure adherence to the City’s brand guidelines, in partnership with Corporate Communications
- The candidates should be able to maintain the SharePoint file management system and ensure that the SharePoint site functions properly, is up-to-date, and reflects current design and communication standards
- The candidates should be able to develop a library of audit reports for both the internal audit department’s SharePoint and the audit section of the City of Brampton’s website and able to develop a process chart, job aids, and SharePoint training for the Internal Audit team
- The candidates should be able to participate in video/photo production and editing (using Canva) and organize and catalogue images/videos and able to edit videos for use on social media platforms
- The candidates should be able to maintain, update, and implement the digital calendar and able to update content on the Internal Audit website on a regular basis and audit the website for timely content and user experience
- The candidates should be able to make recommendations to improve website usability, functionality, effectiveness, and user experience and able to maintain an understanding of department programs and services
- The candidates should be able to understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
