Sundance Balloons (2008) Ltd based in Ottawa, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Balloon pilot. Sundance Balloons (2008) Ltd has grown to be one of the world”s largest operators of commercial hot air balloons, flying over 30,000 passengers each year across Canada. The magical flights are approximately 1 hour in length followed by a traditional champagne celebration. Our seasonal flights are scheduled from May to October. We hire foreign workers to fill labour or skill shortages on a temporary basis. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. This position of Balloon pilot is approved by LMIA.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend and Early Morning
Work site environment: Candidates should work in outdoors, at heights and hot area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Hot Air Balloon Pilot Licence
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have specialization on hot air ballooning
- The candidate should have experience of aircraft like Hot air balloons
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to operate communication (including emergency) devices and also operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
- The candidate should be able to escort groups on outdoor sport and recreational trips, maintain equipment and also prevent legislation violations
