Salary: $30.00 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Supervision: 5-10 people
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Horses
Animal specialization: Thoroughbred horses
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate attention to detail and engage in bending, crouching and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should take the initiative, exercise judgement, and be organized
- The candidates should work as a team player, demonstrate values and ethics, and demonstrate dependability
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to handle animals and manage feed inventory activities
- The candidates should be able to monitor animal health and maintain financial and production records
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff and schedule work of other staff
- The candidates should be able to provide clients with information and prepare food and feed animals
- The candidates should be able to order supplies and maintain inventory and oversee the operation of the company
- The candidates should be able to invoice clients and clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- The candidates should be able to bathe and shampoo animals and assist with inoculation and treatment of animals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
