L’abattoir Zampini Inc. was founded in 1969 by Mr. Armando Zampini as his slaughterhouse. By dint of hard work, we being the only intermediary between the breeder and the consumer. We invested several hundred thousand dollars to expand the area, modernize the slaughter floor and work methods and a water treatment plant in compliance with environmental standards is also installed. We are proud to offer a wide variety of exceptional quality meats including several products that meet the needs of a wide cultural diversity. We are known to provide satisfaction to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting the best services from us. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Work Setting: Butcher shop, willing to relocate and meat processing and/or packing plant or establishment
Work Site Environment: Candidates should work in odours and cold or refrigerated area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to maintain tight deadlines
  • The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail
  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have accuracy

  • The candidate should have experience of manually cutting utensil, power grinder and slicing machine

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • The candidate should be able to cut carcasses, sides and quarters
  • The candidate should be able to cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • The candidate should be able to wrap and package prepared meats
  • The candidate should be able to weigh meats for sale
  • The candidate should be able to cut poultry into parts
  • The candidate should be able to grind meats
  • The candidate should be able to train meat cutters
  • The candidate should be able to prepare special orders
  • The candidate should be able to shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
