Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have Grade 10 education
Experience: Candidates should have six months’ related cashier and customer service experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have knowledge of handling cash, balancing, and completing cash reports
- The candidates should have the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with the public
- The candidates should have the ability to make arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately
- The candidates should have skill in the use of an automated point-of-sale system
- The candidates should have acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform duties related to the collection and security of all Park gate revenues in compliance with City cash control procedures at the Forestry Farm
- The candidates should be able to receive and process admissions and sell available retail items
- The candidates should be able to maintain an accurate account of sale transactions
- The candidates should be able to record all transactions using an automated point-of-sale system
- The candidates should be able to prepare a daily float and cash report, balance float and shift revenues, and prepare bank deposits
- The candidates should be able to receive in-person inquiries and provide program information to customers
- The candidates should be able to assist supervisory staff in providing shift orientation for new staff
- The candidates should be able to perform other related duties as assigned
