Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Grade 10 education
Experience: Candidates should have six months’ related cashier and customer service experience

Other Requirements:

The candidates should have knowledge of handling cash, balancing, and completing cash reports
The candidates should have the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with the public
The candidates should have the ability to make arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately
The candidates should have skill in the use of an automated point-of-sale system
The candidates should have acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to perform duties related to the collection and security of all Park gate revenues in compliance with City cash control procedures at the Forestry Farm
The candidates should be able to receive and process admissions and sell available retail items
The candidates should be able to maintain an accurate account of sale transactions
The candidates should be able to record all transactions using an automated point-of-sale system
The candidates should be able to prepare a daily float and cash report, balance float and shift revenues, and prepare bank deposits
The candidates should be able to receive in-person inquiries and provide program information to customers
The candidates should be able to assist supervisory staff in providing shift orientation for new staff
The candidates should be able to perform other related duties as assigned
