Shifts: Day, Weekend
Work setting: Shelter for the homeless, Community service organization and Associations and non profit organizations
Target Audience: Males and Street population 

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language and should be Bilingual
Education: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail and MS Office
Credentials: CPR Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have expertise in personal and social adjustment and health, addressing issues such as substance abuse, gambling, and behavior disorders
  • The candidates should be knowledgeable about socio-economic needs or conditions, including housing, nutrition, unemployment, and financial assistance
  • The candidates should have experience in providing services for the homeless population and be capable of working under pressure, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities in challenging situations

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus, ensuring dedicated attention to client needs and satisfaction
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration, demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills in various professional situations
  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing work requirements and priorities, showing initiative in taking proactive steps to contribute to the success of the team and organization
  • The candidates should exercise sound judgment in decision-making processes related to their role, be team players fostering collaboration and contributing positively to team dynamics
  • The candidates should have interpersonal awareness, understanding and responding to the needs of others effectively, uphold values and ethics in all aspects of their work, and be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities efficiently

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to obtain information and prepare reports or case histories, appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, and resolve conflict situations
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures, and maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research
  • The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs, accompany clients to appointments and social outings, and perform administrative tasks
