Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a valid Personal Support Worker Acute Care diploma
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have , Provincial Personal Care Worker course, or an equivalent qualification
- The candidates should be able to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire
- The candidates should have valid CPR and First Aid Certification or BLS and advanced proficiency in English, with proficiency in French
- The candidates should have completed an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course
- The candidates should have previous working experience with the elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of an individualized Resident Care Plan
- The candidates should be able to assist in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis and assist with light housekeeping duties
- The candidates should be able to perform delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice
- The candidates should be able to communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to the Supervisor
